Wild Ponies
In the fall of 2009 I ventured out to a state park in Virginia where I heard there would be wild ponies.
More Macro
Nikon D90 1/20 @ f/14 105 mm ISO 200
This is a 1:1 photograph of old tea leaves. I liked the depth and the texture. It was back lit on a light table with hot lights coming in on the side to add a warm color.

Fun with all the elements
Mamyia 6x45 Tmax 100
The base of this image was shot in a Virginia state park with a Mamyia 6x45. I edited the image for an unreal almost drawn effect. I then brought in a picture of a cloud and the sun From a picture I had taken using a Fuji UVIR Digital camera with infrared filters. I drew the clouds using a wacom tablet. I really enjoyed the finished product. I hope to continue working in this direction and prefect my skills.

Mother Squirrel Rescue

Nikon D90 105mm ISO 1600
While standing out side of my house a nest of squirrels fell from the trees above.
Immediately after the mother squirrel came down and picked the babies up one by one.
When they hit the ground they appeared unconscious but slowly they each opened their eyes.
It took her time to find all three, one fell under the car and she had to return three or four times to find all of them. She had built a new nest in another tree and I saw her bring them to the new home.

Macro
This is my first macro shot, I used a ring flash for this image. All I hear is DEPTH OF FIELD, and I wanted to go the opposite way. I ended up loving the blur of the colors.

Glass
I created this for my portfolio. I wanted to have a scientific feel for lighting the flask. I lit the glass with two 750s on the background and one mini light with a snoot skimming the front of the glass to push light on the basil plant inside. I then added one light below the table pointed at the leaves to get a more natural feel.
